Getting Started On Your Course
How do I sign up for a course?
Starting your journey to becoming a certified fitness professional is easy with Elev8 Training Academy. Simply complete our contact form and one our friendly team will be in contact to answer all your questions.
We’ll go through all study options along with payment options. Once you have all the information we’ll then send you a link to complete the relevant enrolment forms.
Can I study around my current commitments?
Yes of course, we have various part time and online options available to study.
When enrolled on an online course you will receive your course manuals & resources plus a tutor will be assigned to you who will walk through a plan with you to understand your current commitments so a bespoke plan can be created for you. This will include weekly zoom calls to help you with your theory and then organise practical sessions within a gym to ensure you are ready for your assessments.
The part time course means you’ll work with a dedicated tutor and attend a venue a couple times a week for practical sessions.
How can I pay for the course?
We have various payment options available to help you fund the course:
One off payment: You can pay the whole course fee upfront and normally receive a discount for doing so.
Finance Options: We offer the opportunity to pay the course over affordable monthly installments, you can spread the cost over 3 months via PayPal Later with 0% Interest. You can pay off your balance at any time with no extra charges.

How long does it take to complete the PT course?
Part Time: If you are studying one of our part time courses then usually it takes around 8-10 weeks to be qualified. This will include attending one of our venues for each week for 2 days for practical sessions and completing units within the workbook during the week.
Online: With the online study from home option you’ll have up to a year to complete the course from the date you started but because this course is fully flexible around your current commitments you can complete the course within 12 weeks if you wish.
When do I recieve my certificate?
Once you have completed the course your portfolio & assessments will be sent off to to an IQA to be verified and once passed your certificate will be with you within 4-6 weeks.
Do I have to be 18 and over?
To obtain any of our qualifications, you must be at least 16 years old. You can start studying before this, but you must be 16 years old upon qualification.
Who are Active IQ?
Active IQ is the leading awarding organisation in the industry and their qualification standards are renowned as being the leading standard.
Active IQ are recognised and regulated by Ofqual within the Active Leisure sector. The certifications they provide act as a benchmark for quality and credibility for those wishing to join the industry.
Who are Focus Awards?
Focus Awards is an Ofqual regulated awarding organization that provides qualifications in a range of industries, including the fitness and personal training sector.
They design and develop qualifications that are recognized by employers and regulators, ensuring that they meet the necessary standards for their respective industries. Focus Awards’ personal training qualifications are highly respected within the fitness industry, and are offered by a number of training providers
Is my qualification recognised by CIMSPA?
All of our qualifications are endorsed and recognised by CIMSPA. The government has tasked CIMSPA to lead on increasing the professionalisation of the sports sector’s workforce in its recent sports strategy document.
To achieve this goal, CIMSPA has introduced a policy that requires most members to complete a defined amount of CPD per membership subscription year at a relevant level to their membership category. Sport and physical activity professionals should keep their skills and knowledge up to date and extend their skill set wherever possible. Continuous professional development (CPD) involves taking additional learning through courses, workshops, conferences, or other activities that confirm the suitability of knowledge, understanding, and skills for their role in the sector.
How do I get a job once qualified as a PT?
We work with a number of leading gyms all over the UK and even across Europe.
